Do you drink beer? I occasionally drink some, and Tsingtao Beer is my all time favorite! Tsingtao Brewery is China’s largest brewery and it is based in none other than Qingdao itself.
Where about? Known as “Switzerland of the East”, Qingdao (青岛) is located in south eastern of the Shandong Peninsula (山东半岛). Looking out to the Yellow Sea, Qingdao today is China’s major seaport, naval base and industrial center. Qingdao hosted the sailing events in 2008 Summer Olympics.
What is so beautiful? Qingdao attracts many tourists due to its historical setting as well as beaches. The city was given to Germany as a colony in 1898. In between, there was Japanese occupation from 1914 to 1918. During the colonial period, the Germans left behind unique German architecture which today can be seen in Bavarian style buildings and churches around Qingdao. These include St. Michael’s Cathedral, German Governor’s Residence, Ba Da Guan (八大关), Flower-Floor (花石楼), Qingdao Hill Fort ruins and many others. Qingdao is also very famous for its bathing beaches. There are 6 of them, namely Laoshan Beach, Old Stone Man Beach, Beach #1, Beach #2, Beach #3 and Beach #6. Old Stone Man Beach is particularly well facilitated with theme parks and aquarium. Besides, one should also not miss out on Laoshan (崂山), a famous Taoism mountain located 40 kilometers east of Qingdao.

Nice building but the name seems a little strange. Flower Floor? Is it a hotel?
