Jungceylon, Phuket

I never like shopping, and I believe majority of guys are like me. Nevertheless, let me introduce you to Jungceylon, the biggest shopping center in Phuket. Jungceylon is located in the heart of Patong, Phuket. It is located just in front of the infamous Bangla Road and is only 5 minutes walking distance from Patong Beach. “Jungceylon” was actually a name for Phuket back in 1511.

Jungceylon is so big that the shopping center has been divided into several zones. They are Silang Boulevard, Sino Phuket, Phuket Square and the Port. Silang Boulevard is a state of art shopping complex. Sino Phuket presents you world class dining experience in the Sino-Portuguese style shop house buildings. Phuket Square meanwhile, is an entertainment plus shopping center. I had frequented Phuket Square during my stay in Phuket because it houses Carrefour Hypermarket where I got my daily breakfasts and mineral waters from. I had also spent 1 night watching movie at the SF Cinema City located within Phuket Square too!

I did not really spend my times at Silang Boulevard and Sino Phuket. Besides the above mentioned zones, the Port is another zone of Jungceylon. And it is also my favorite pass-time spot at night in Phuket. The Port is an outdoor section in Jungceylon with a huge lake and a gigantic canopy on top. The main attraction here is a life sized reproduction of a 20-meter Chinese junk boat. But what really caught my eyes is the Dancing Water Fountain Show and the Amazing Jungceylon Water Fountain Show displayed there every night.

    sparkzspot, thanks for dropping by!

JL, Phuket is a more sophisticated tourist destination than anywhere in Malaysia. You will really open your eyes to how advanced the tourism industry in Thailand is if you happen to go to Phuket in the future!

Can’t wait for my June trip there. I definitely going to visit this shopping centre, I know for sure my 2 young niece and nephew will enjoy the fountain show while the adults do some shopping there.

I don’t like shopping unless I need to buy something. Haha! I think I will like the dancing fountain. Is it dancing to music? And the lights change colour like those I saw at Mines Wonderland?
