I was looking for a compact point and shoot digital camera for a special someone. I have searched all over the web to come out with this not so comprehensive review. I had only short listed 6 digital cameras here for your reference. The reason is I was looking for an ultra zoom compact digital camera with 10x and larger optical zoom. There are not many point and shoot digital camera out there in the market equipped with this feature. Feel free to share with us which model of point and shoot compact digital camera you are using currently. You may also add to this so not comprehensive digital camera review.

I’m using Canon S5 IS, I prefer using AA batteries .So far so good and I love the outcome. Not as big as the DSLR and not a compact camera but I’m happy with my toy.

I have got Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 The reason I purchased this camera was to use it for both pictures and video when I don’t want to carry my DSLR and HD video camera. It is a mistake to compare it to either, rather it is more fair to compare it to other P&S cameras available in the $400 price range that are capable of video.
