Houses in Guilin Do Not Have Mailboxes

In China, we found that houses do not have mailboxes. I wonder how the letters are delivered to the recipients, any idea?

Houses in Longji - Do you see any mailbox?

Mailboxixchange is the internet marketplace for mail boxes and curbside decor. In here, you can find the widest selection of residential mailboxes and commercial mailboxes available.

There are many categories of residential mailboxes one can find at Mailboxixchange. Among them are single and multi unit mailbox and post packages, wall mount mailboxes, column mailboxes, locking mailboxes and post mount mailboxes. I am particularly interested in the column mailboxes. The notable feature of this type of mailboxes is you can retrieve your letters from the inside of your house.

Besides, Mailboxixchange also offers a wide selection of commercial mailboxes. These commercial mailboxes are available in cluster box units or horizontal units. There are also high security mailboxes.

I think your house surely has a mailbox unless you are living in countryside like Daxu Ancient Town and Longji Rice Terraces in Guilin.

Reminds me of home, yeah my principal house has got no mailbox. Love some of the pictures in Daxu Ancient Town would seek your kind permission to download one or two for my new header? BTW I do not have any key to my house all my life no lock from the outside as the door is just the same picture of the Longevity Temple. We lock the door from the inside only which is also made of wood to slide across the doors, like we see normally see them in ancient movies.:P

I think the local postman will hand over letter for them personally, as they know each other. :sleep_tb:

Nice wooden houses with no mailbox? The postman gotta climb up the houses and slot through any gap or opening under the doors or the walls haha. :tongue1_tb: Think houses in smaller towns in Msia will also have no mail box. Check it out on fellow blogger Khengsiong’s entry to see if you can find any other mailboxs besides the one at MCA? Hit the jump..
